Explore the Rauma River by kayak from Hotel Aak. The kayak is set out on Rauma next to the hotel, where you can paddle both up and downwards. Dress in accordance with the weather, with wind and a waterproof jacket. Warm clothes, food, drinks, snacks and sunglasses are wise supplements to bring along! The rent includes kayak, oar, life jacket, neoprene pants and waterproof bag.



LIABILITY AND INSURANCE:
All kayaking is done at your own responsibility and risk. Self-declaration must be signed before rental. You are responsible for having your own insurance. Check if your insurance applies to damage or loss of borrowed equipment.

Terms and conditions between the tenant and Hotel Aak
‍The tenant must identify themselves and present a 'Wet Card' or other similar experience (Euro Paddle Pass etc.), which applies to basic courses from the Norwegian Paddle Association or equivalent in other countries. One must be able to swim, comfortable in the water and over 18 years.

A person with a basic course can bring a person without a course (1:1). Hotel Aak will ensure that kayaks and equipment are in good condition. By renting kayaks from Hotel Aak, the tenant is responsible for their own safety and all trips are is at their own risk. The tenant must treat the kayak and equipment carefully. In case of major damage or loss of equipment, the tenant is liable for compensation. All damage or defects in equipment must be reported by the tenant to the landlord. In the event of theft, the tenant is obliged to report to the police and landlord. When renting a kayak at Hotel Aak, the kayak is put out on the Rauma river. The river is mostly flat and calm from Hotel Aak and downwards. One must be aware that in some places there is current and undercurrent. We point out that tides, as well as precipitation amounts affect the water level and speed of the river. The tenant is obliged to wear a life jacket as long as you are on the river or along the river bank. Risk-taking in connection with rental is at your own responsibility.

Everything from Trollstigen to Trollveggen, or just a tour of the city center makes for a great experience on a bike seat. An e-bike ride can also be the perfect way to recover the day after a long day out in the mountains. With an e-bike, it's easy to decide for yourself how tired you want to get!

We recommend bringing gloves and glasses and warm clothes for our guests who borrow e-bikes. The bikes are picked up at the reception at Hotel Aak between 1000-1130. The bike must be delivered before 1900. The rental includes helmet, lock and gloves.

Are you a keen cyclist who wants to ride Trollstigen without the help of an electric bike? Then you can rent a road bike from us. Romsdalen and Northwest Norway also offer many more great road experiences. How about a trip to the cycling village, Eresfjorden? Or take the trip over Trollstigen and Gudbrandsjuvet to the strawberry village of Valldal.

Information about the bikes
‍Wehave 3 bikes of the type Domane SL 5 Disc. It has smooth characteristics, speed and versatility. It is great for cyclists who want to test a carbon bike. The bike has disc brakes, good drivetrain and IsoSpeed front and rear. Pedal: we recommend bringing your own pedal. On the house we have combi pedal - platform on one side and SPD click on the other side.

Norsk Tindesenter rents out a complete Via Ferrata kit if you want to walk Romsdalsstigen Via Ferrata on your own. The price includes all taxes. You do not need to book time in addition to renting equipment. We recommend the use of gloves and this can be added to the order.

The equipment can be picked up between 11:00–14:00 o'clock (previously by appointment), and must be returned to the Norwegian Tindesenter before closing time the same day (20:00 o'clock).

Familiarize yourself with all the rules and routines for using Via Ferrata before you begin. Read the information sign at the beginning of the routes. Everyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
