When?
The position is 80–100% from the beginning of March to mid-September, with the possibility of extension into the fall (the position may also be relevant for those who can only work during the winter or summer season).

Who are we?
Hotel Aak, Norway's first tourist hotel in the countryside. This is where the mountain sports pioneers had their base in the late 19th century. Today we work to maintain the comfortable, rural and homely feel. Here you will be able to relax and feel the warm Aak feeling. Luxury with us is the real, the simple, the down-to-earth. 

Guests are taken around the mountains. Healthy mountain people host. Work, enjoy. Travel less and experience more, we say. Tourists visit us on weekends, companies on weekdays.

What does the job involve?
We are committed to ensuring that our guests have RAW experiences year-round – and this is where you come in.

Your most important job is to make sure that guests are smiling from the moment they arrive until they leave. Your tasks will include:
- breakfast and dinner service
- presentation of food, drinks and not least our history
- general hosting and practical tasks
- simple food preparation
- reception work

At Aak, we are also potatoes – flexible, solution-oriented and with an eye for what needs to be done. Here, we step in where needed.

What is it like to work with us?
At Aak you can be yourself and say what you think. The hotel develops together with feedback from guests and employees, and the path from idea to action is short.

We are a small team, which means that everyone takes responsibility and feels ownership of both the job and the house. For us, collaboration is more important than titles.

It is also important to us that everyone who works here has time for the mountains – and for a life outside of work. At the same time, the job requires a certain amount of flexibility in return, as everyday life in the travel industry can change quickly. No two days are the same, and change is part of everyday life. Working hours will vary between day, evening and weekend.

In the winter we work when the guests are at the house, and enjoy the snow even when the guests are out hiking. 

Hotel Aak is environmentally certified, and we are constantly looking for new ways to reduce our footprint. As an employee, we hope you will join us and make a difference!

Who are we looking for?
- You must be 20 years old.
- Interest in wine, beer and bar is a big plus
- Experience as a waiter is an advantage
- You love people, nature and hosting
- If you are interested in guiding, that is a big plus. In the summer you can take guests on guided electric bike tours, hikes and kayaking (requires proper certification).
